NAK: Hungarians throw away 68 kilograms of food a year

Every year, people throw away an average of 68 kilograms of food per person in Hungary; the EU average is much higher than that – Keleti Marcell, director of food at the National Chamber of Agriculture (NAK) told M1 news channel.

Although Hungary is not so bad in this respect, it cannot be said that there is nothing to be done for the cause, he said, adding that the situation could be handled with more conscious consumption. (MTI)
