The adventures of Frutti and Veggi continued in June
The joint campaign of the Hungarian Chamber of Agriculture (NAK) and French cross-sector trade organisation Interfel – which promotes fruit and vegetable consumption in a playful way – lasts all summer. An imaginary place called Vegapolis has been created for the European Fraich Fantasy roadshow, where children can experience the ‘magical power’ of fruits and vegetables and be part of an unforgettable adventure with the main characters, Frutti, Veggi and Beni.
A mother who went to the roadshow on 7 June in Miskolc told: most children don’t eat fruits and vegetables not because they don’t like it, but because they aren’t offered to them. A fun programme like the European Fraich Fantasy can make them realise: they actually like fresh fruits and vegetables. She was really happy about this initiative. Kids soon get to like Frutti and Veggi.
A dad with two kids told that they do pay attention to serving fresh fruits and vegetables to their children, but he reckons this isn’t the general practice. Participating children had the chance to perform simple and fun tasks to learn about healthy foods. Within the framework of an interactive workshop, they could make their own salad from fresh fruits and vegetables. Using virtual reality technology, they even entered the world of Frutti and Veggi.
