Consumer protection consultation begins
The government is counting on the opinion of the Hungarian people on another issue, the consumer protection consultation is starting – announced Zsolt Nyitrai, the Prime Minister’s chief advisor, in a video uploaded to his Facebook page on Sunday.
The politician emphasized that the government bases its public work on dialogue. Consumer protection affects everyone, because “every single one of our compatriots is a consumer and a buyer at the same time” – he said.
The consultation will also be followed by measures in accordance with the citizens’ requests – announced the Prime Minister’s chief advisor.
“Tell us your opinion, consumer protection is our common cause!”
– emphasized Zsolt Nyitrai.
In the video, Minister of National Economy Márton Nagy explained that consumer protection serves the safety of people, the protection of families, consumer awareness, the strengthening of trust, and the support of honest businesses.
Well-informed consumers who know their rights shop much more carefully. Promoting more conscious consumer behavior and promoting tools to enforce consumer rights is in everyone’s interest, he pointed out.
The minister said: the government represents the people and takes action if consumers are treated unfairly.
“We protect consumers from online fraud and companies that trick with promotions, the Hungarian people can count on us,”
