From autumn, MATE will start specialized further training for fruit and vegetable processing engineers and consultants
In September, the Institute of Food Science and Technology, located on the Buda Campus of the Hungarian University of Agricultural and Life Sciences, welcomes those interested in fruit and vegetable processing, as well as those working in this field. Those interested can apply for the training until August 15.
The MATE fruit and vegetable processing engineer and specialist specialist further training is open to all those who are active in the fruit and vegetable processing sector, are interested in the field, and want to expand, systematize, update their knowledge or simply gain deeper knowledge as a conscious consumer. At the same time, fruit and vegetable growing specialists who are interested in the processing of raw materials with higher added value are also welcome to attend the course. Higher education, which can be completed while working, is also open to professionals working in other fields (e.g. catering, trade) or to those working in other sectors of the food industry.
The aim of the training is to actively contribute to the development of the professional supply and professional prestige of the fruit and vegetable processing profession. The curriculum summarizes the knowledge needed in the sector in a unique way, from raw materials and processing technologies to trade. Students can acquire competitive knowledge that will enable them to perform the professional and managerial tasks of a small or medium-sized plant, or even manage their own plant. The knowledge required by the market, the harmony of theory and practice were kept in mind when compiling the training.
